A Study on Diagnostic Modelling of ITS

Abstract

|
Student modelling and student-oriented interaction are important to the provision of individualised instruction, which Intelligent Tutoring Systems try to achieve. This paper presents various diagnostic techniques in the ITS literature and shows how the diagnostic techniques align with the student model. Especiallly we introduce BUGGY system to explain how the diagnostic techniques are used and analyse the system.
